2026 Jerry Wolf Spring Classic
Event Information
Hosted by Ohio Valley Region PCA
Location Mid Ohio Sports Car Course
Event Dates: 05/29/26 - 05/31/26
The Jerry Wolf Spring Classic has once again reminded us why this event is such a cornerstone of the Ohio Valley Region PCA calendar. Registration numbers are already strong, volunteer support continues to grow, and the familiar family atmosphere we’ve built over the years is alive and well.
From the moment the track goes hot at Mid-Ohio to the Friday night gathering at our host hotel, the Quality Inn in Bellville, this weekend is about more than driving. The banquet room fills quickly, conversations spill into the lobby, and lawn chairs inevitably appear in the parking lot as old friends reconnect and new ones are welcomed in. We are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment our members bring to this event year after year.
This year, we will also take time to remember and honor our friend and longtime instructor, Van Nianouris, whose recent passing has left a lasting impact on our community. He will be missed, and his contributions will not be forgotten as we gather at Mid-Ohio.
If you haven’t already begun preparing your car and gear for the season, now is the time. To help everyone get up to speed, OVR PCA will host our Annual Driver’s Seminar on February 28 at the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in Cincinnati. Topics will include safety gear updates, brakes, tires, suspension, and even SIM racing. Be sure to register for the seminar while signing up for the Spring Classic.

OVR PCA Autocross - June 2026
AUTOCROSS IS BACK!!!
Location
Traders World Markets
601 Union Road, Monroe, OH 45036,
I-75 to exit 29 at Rt 63.
Registration
For those new to the sport, autocross is a fun and exciting way to drive your vehicle on a designed course against the clock. We have instructors to help improve your skills. Drivers will maneuver around a cone-lined course with sharp curves, slaloms, straightaways, and tight handling situations. All of this is accomplished in a safe and controlled environment with one driver on course at a time. Safety is the primary focus at an autocross.
2026 Season Changes
There are a few changes to the 2026 season. A later start time, 8:30 am, and the entry fee is just $40 per PCA/OVR member. Non-members pay $45 each. Awards are given to the fastest time in class, fastest time of the Day and year-end champions’ prizes at the annual meeting.
Startup time on the day will be 8:30 am with registration, tech inspections, track walk, and a morning briefing. Our lunch break is during your corner worker time. This schedule should allow us to wrap everything up by 3:00 pm. Yes, we will have untimed fun runs after 3:00 pm for anyone who wants to extend their day. There is a new course layout that proves to be more challenging and longer than our 2025 season course.
Autocross is an inexpensive way to gather like-minded people, push your driving limits, learn about safe handling in your vehicle, and have fun. The events are open to drivers with valid driver’s licenses; a Porsche is not required. We are hoping for more participation from other car clubs in the surrounding area, so feel free to invite your friends and family. All manufacturers are welcome! Last year we had cars including: Datsuns, Miatas, Corvettes, Mercedes, Camaros, VWs, and Mustangs.
Be on the lookout for more articles about Autocross on the OVR Website. If you’re interested in autocross and have questions, please contact Bill Kief at HighSpeeDriving@gmail.com

2026 Jyan Waespe Memorial Car Show
PLEASE read all of the information below before registering.
The Ohio Valley Region PCA has been offered a private area with over 50 spots for cars at what could be Ohio’s largest car show ever. The 2026 Jyan Waespe Memorial Car Show will be held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, from 12-5 PM on May 9th. This is the second year in a row that we’ve been invited to attend one of their shows, and we’re so happy that we get to work with them again. Registration is open now, and we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to ensure that you have a spot secured!
Standard Registration (Porsche club section) is $25 per spot and it is completely FREE to attend as a spectator, so tell your friends! All proceeds from the event go directly to charity. Ticket sales end on May 7th, 2026.
The event is from 12-5. Technically, we aren’t supposed to leave before 5, but because we are so close to a side entrance/exit, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Registration Instructions:
This may be easier to do on a computer, but it is possible on a mobile device. Visit https://www.jyanscarandbikeshow.com, click “Register”, click “Buy Tickets”, then select an available/open spot around the section labeled “Porsche Club” (top left), and continue to checkout. Please fill out all necessary information as event organizers will verify that the correct car is in the correct spot!
Vehicle Fluid Containment Policy – From the Lindner Family Tennis Center
If you’re aware that your vehicle can sometimes leak fluids, please bring something to catch that drip and ensure that it does not leak on to the concrete. The concrete used inside the facility isn’t normal concrete; it can and will stain easily.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact Nathan Kelley.

Gemeinschaft BRUNCH!!!
It’s the first-ever Gemeinschaft BRUNCH!!!
Yep, you got it! It’s BRUNCH!!! Why stand around outside drinking coffee and eating a doughnut when you could be sitting down inside, enjoying coffee and breakfast or lunch, or, for God’s sake, just a doughnut!! Brunch will be at DeSha’s, 11320 Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH, March 21st, 11:00 am - 2:pm.
Please note the following….
There is no buffet; it will be menu service, and each member will be responsible for their own ordering and payment. We have a private room capable of holding thirty people. I absolutely must have the total number attending prior to the event. For restaurant staffing and to know if there will be more than thirty people, that way I will need to make arrangements for another room. Feel free to drive your car; however, there will be no sequestered Porsche parking during this off-season event. LASTLY, if someone plans to simply “show up” and not RSVP, you may find yourself eating carry-out as a seat may not be available!!
PLEASE RSVP

Celebrating the Life of Van C. Nianouris
The family of Van C. Nianouris warmly invites friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, February 28th, from 1-5pm EST at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio.
Van lived life fully and found joy in time spent with family and friends. He loved to play golf, listen to his favorite music, and he especially loved getting behind the wheel of one of his beloved Porsches.
He had a way of making people feel welcome, and his humor and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As we gather to remember him, we hope this day will be filled with stories, laughter, and the shared memories that made his life so special.
We are grateful for the love and support shown to our family during this difficult time and look forward to celebrating his life together.

Event Description
Once again, we’re gonna try for a fun-filled day at Oakley Greens. Because our last attempt left us soaking wet, thanks to Mother Nature. The general manager was disappointed that more people couldn’t attend and wants us to have a second chance at a better day. She has offered us our own seating area with a TV to watch the Bengals take on the Green Bay Packers at Green Bay. There are also other giant TVs to watch the game.
Oakley Greens is an all-seasons sports bar with something for everyone! This family- and dog-friendly venue features a kids’ play area with a pirate ship and playset, two amazing 36-hole miniature golf courses, giant TV screens for sports viewing, and plenty of food and drink options—including sliders, pizza, wings, and more from Hangry Omar’s. Enjoy indoor and outdoor bars, ice cream, and live music vibes (part of their Summer Live Music Series running May through August).
Oakley Greens has graciously offered ample parking near the entrance for our group. They open at 10:00 AM, so arrive early..Setup begins at 9:00 AM.

Email Social@ovrpca.org with your name and number of attendees
Important: We need an accurate headcount to ensure enough parking and staff for our group. PLEASE!!! I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY ARE GOING TO ATTEND TO SECURE PARKING FOR OUR CARS AND HAVE THEM PROPERLY STAFFED FOR US. SEND ME A SIMPLE EMAIL WITH YOUR NAME AND THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE. THANKS!!!!

Gemeinschaft in Dayton…Finally!
“We’re comin’ to your town, we’ll help ya party down…” (Grand Funk Railroad,1973)
This Gemeinschaft will be at Three Birds in Dayton!
It won’t really be a “party down” but it will be amazing, because we have the ENTIRE parking lot AND restaurant to ourselves! Plus additional parking next door that we’ll hopefully need. All courtesy of the owners of Three Birds!
Three Birds, while normally closed, will open up on Sunday, just for us, with a limited food and drink menu. I’m told it will be a small menu of their four burger/sandwich options and a couple of other small options. Drinks will also be available. Also, there’s a large patio and literally a “fishbowl” restaurant with loads of unobstructed windows to see the cars. This one’s pretty unique gang!
PARKING IS LIMITED.
